Why proofreading?

Proofreading takes a piece of work in its very last stage before submission or publication and checks it for any errors. This covers spelling and grammar, formatting, consistency and appliciation of any relevant style guide.

It’s important to know proofreading is not creative feedback - it does not offer notes or suggestions on the style or quality of the writing, only on clarity and correctness.
